Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data HiringNotice ("we"), run by Pillai InfoTech LLP, collects, why, and the rights you have over it. We wrote it to be read, not to hide behind. If anything here is unclear, ask us.
1. What we collect
If you're a job seeker
- Your name, phone number, and the details you add to your profile: role, years of experience, skills, and the city or area you want to work in.
- For profile roles such as engineering, accounts or IT, your résumé and the skills you tag.
- Which jobs you view, save, and apply to.
If you're an employer
- Your company details, the team members on your account, and the jobs you post.
- Only verified employers can post on HiringNotice, so we also keep the details we used to verify your company.
- Billing information needed to process payment. Card numbers are handled by our payment provider; we don't store them.
- Which résumés you unlock and view.
If you contact us or report a scam
- What you write in the form, and the name, phone or email you give us so we can reply. A scam report can be anonymous.
- A one-way scrambled form of your IP address, kept to stop repeated spam submissions. We don't store the address itself.
2. How we use it
We use your data to run the service you signed up for: matching candidates to jobs, letting verified employers find candidates who chose to be visible, sending the alerts and updates you asked for, answering your messages, investigating scam reports, and processing payments. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
3. Who we share it with
A candidate's contact details are shared with an employer only when the candidate applies, or when the candidate is visible in search and the employer unlocks their profile using a paid package. We use a small number of processors, such as a payment gateway, an SMS and WhatsApp provider and cloud hosting, who handle data only on our instructions. We never share your data because someone asked in a web page or message; requests are honoured only through the channels in this policy.
4. What are your rights under the DPDP Act?
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act gives you clear rights, and we're building them into the product so you don't have to file a request and wait:
- See and download what we hold about you, from your account settings.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and data. Employers lose access straight away.
- Withdraw consent for anything you opted into, such as promotional messages, at any time.
Until a setting is available in your account, contact us and we will act on the request for you.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a period that will be stated here after legal review, except where law requires us to keep certain records (for example, tax records tied to a payment).
6. How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to staff who need it, and contact details are never shown in a URL or exposed before you choose to share them. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects you, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the Act requires.
7. Grievance officer
If you have a complaint about how your data is handled, contact our grievance officer. We respond within the timelines the DPDP Act and the IT Rules, 2021 set.
Grievance officer: To be appointed
Until then, write to: [email protected] with "Grievance" in the subject, or use the contact form.
Postal address: Pillai InfoTech LLP, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days of receiving it, as the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 require. Requests to remove content that is unlawful, or that exposes someone's private details, are handled faster, as those rules set out.
